Louis XV/XVI Style Marquetry-inlaid Kingwood Gueridon, early 20th century, circular top inlaid with a ballooning scene with town and figures, chequerbanded borders, floral inlaid frieze fitted with a drawer, on square, tapered legs ending in cap feet, ht. 28 3/4, dia. 19 3/4 in. Top with wrinkling veneers and some colored-in restoration/fill near figures at nine o''clock; shrinkage throughout; some veneers losses to perimeter edges. lacking one cap foot, age typical additional wear and defects; color slightly murky.
