Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) Le vieux roi, 1959 (Bloch, 869). Stamped "Picasso" in red l.r., signed and dated in the matrix. Lithograph on paper, image size 25 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. (64.7 x 49.4 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning, foxing, deckled right edge, creases to lower edge, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Ex-collection Lewis H. Weinstein, Boston, Massachusetts, to a private collection by family descent. The work has NOT been removed from its frame. Subtle overall toning with deckled right edge. The work is probably taped or hinged at the u.r. and u.l. corners, verso. There is some very broad rippling with scattered minor creases (l.c. l.r., and c.r.). A few scattered fox marks in addition to area of pale scattered staining and/or foxng in the u.l. corner.
