Gem-set Insect Brooch, the winged insect with cabochon and circular-cut ruby and sapphire body, single-cut diamond melee accents, completed by leaf-form wings edged with ruby and sapphire melee and star-set with old European-cut diamonds, 18kt and 14kt gold mount, lg. 2 1/2 in. Body tests for 14kt, wings for 18kt. Pinstem marked 14kt. Ruby quite included, with surface cavities, though not obtrusive when worn. Sapphire with some scratches and cavities. Also not noticeable. Otherwise wear with age.
