Pair of English Regency Black Painted and Gilt-stenciled Open Armchairs, each with openwork bordered crest rail and downswept arms, compass seat and circular turned legs, decorated with trelliswork, quivers, arrows and ribbon pulls, seat ht. 18 in. Paint with moderate to heavy losses along edges, particularly to cresting and arms; repaint to seat rails and seat altered (likely caned previously) age typical additional minor defects; joints a little loose.
