George I Silver Caudle Cup, London, 1721, maker's mark IS, likely Johnathan le Sage, of typical form, with applied girdle, and serpentine handle, engraved with coat of arms, with associated lid, London, c. 1697, William Gamble, maker, with spherule finial, cup ht. 6 1/8, ht. with lid 6 1/4 in., approx. 28 troy oz. marks to underside of foot good. Body with overall light surface wear and light nicks/pinpoints. Age typical wear to armorial. Edge of footrim with small hairline in metal (approx. 1/2"). Lid finial soldered into place. lid with light dings and nicks to bulbous rims. Marked to exterior center of lid. (marks good)
