Original Reed & Barton Design Drawing for a Silver Trophy, dated "24 May 1907," pencil, watercolor, and Chinese white on gray paper, depicting an urn form trophy for swimming, unsigned, matted and framed, sight size 27 x 19 in. , in giltwood frame, frame size 35 1/2 x 27 in. Note: Original drawings for American silver are quite rare. Those that survive are generally housed in archives, including Tiffany & Company's archives in New Jersey, Reed & Barton's archives house at Baker Library at Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a group from the firm of Fletcher & Gardiner, and Thomas Fletcher, held in the collection of the Print Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Apparently in good condition; not examined out of frame; colors very fresh, with minor creasing to center left slightly affecting drawing.
