Attributed to Narcisse Virgile Diaz de la Peña (French, 1808-1876) Quiet Pond, Early Autumn Signed "N Diaz" l. l., identified on a label affixed to the frame. Oil on panel, 6 7/8 x 9 1/4 in. (17.4 x 23.4 cm), framed. Condition: Surface cracks to support, scattered retouch, subtle surface grime. The cracks to the panel are to the surface and do not penetrate through the panel. The retouch is primarily to the tops of the trees. The painting might benefit from cleaning.
