Currier & Ives, publishers (American, 1857-1907) Lot of Two Works: Lily Lake. Near St. John N.B., and The Rocky Mountains., both undated (Conningham, 3540, 5195). Identified in inscriptions in the matrix. Small folio lithographs with hand-coloring on paper, sheet sizes 11 x 15 1/8, 12 x 16 in., respectively, both housed in likely original paint-decorated gesso frames. Condition: Both have minor toning, Lily Lake with margins of 1 1/8 in. or more; Rocky Mountains with margins of 1 1/2 in. or more, foxing, stains. Lily Lake- small edge loss l.r. (like a little slit) with tape behind, toning and stains from wood backing, several small abrasions around edges from previous mountings, tape residue from previous hinge on top edge; The Rocky Mountains- foxing primarily in margins, a few spots in image, knot stain u.c. from wood backing, some light moisture stains in margins.
