Gilt Sheet Copper Touring Car Weather Vane, America, early 20th century, composed of cut-out and pierced sheet copper with applied copper wire details, mounted on a short copper-covered brass rod, including threaded iron mounting rod and fragments of directionals, no stand, (minor gilt wear), ht. 10 7/8, lg. 23 1/2 in. Provenance: Oral history relates that the original owner of the weather vane, Dr. Pack from Groveland, Massachusetts, bought a Packard touring car and was given the weather vane as a promotional gift. 1 1/2 in. separation at fender(?) flaring above front wheel
