Decorated Redware Pitcher and Sugar Bowl, Virginia or Shenandoah Valley, mid to late 19th century, the sugar bowl decorated with applied undulating flowering vine and ridged loop open handles, the pitcher decorated with applied flower blossoms and birds, (minor glaze losses on sugar bowl), ht. 5, 5 1/4 in., respectively. the sugar bowl has several surface glaze flake losses, and a 2 1/2 in. hairline from rim near one handle; pitcher has a couple very tiny glaze flakes on rim.
