Pieced and Appliqued Cotton Album Quilt Top, America, c. 1871, composed of twenty five diamond and twenty one triangle segments decorated with appliqued and embroidered solid and printed cotton motifs including flowers, leaves fruit, Masonic, shield, and paisley, many squares signed by the makers, one dated 1871, edged in red cotton, (toning, stains, some stitch losses), 80 1/2 x 81 in. some of the ink signatures have run, the center diamond has a needlepoint floral design done in wool yarns and some of the stitches are missing.
