Mintons Porcelain Ship Potpourri Vase and Cover, England, 1878, in the Sevres style, bleu-celeste ground with heavily gilded scrolled foliate borders to central polychrome decorated vignettes, one side depicting a wife leading her drunken husband away from fellow taverners, the reverse a trophy with musical instruments, quiver, arrow and torch among flowers, the cover pierced and modeled as draped netting adorned with a flowing ribbon, impressed and printed mark, ht. 17 in.
