Pieced Cotton Patchwork Friendship Quilt, America, c. 1849, the quilt with thirty-six pieced cotton printed calico squares set on point in shades of red, blue green, and brown, alternating with fine brown and red floral printed squares, bordered in brown printed cotton, brown printed diagonal stripe backing, a few squares with names inscribed in ink, one dated 1849, (scattered wear and repairs), 84 x 88 in.
