Figural painting depicting a young mother and her child resting on a hill top with a basket of goods and knapsack. Brown haired mother holding a beaded rosary in hand--likely figures are resting on pilgrimage route view of village in distance with prominent church steeple. Verso of frame with label from Charles Rodes Looking Glass and Picture Frame Establishment. Framed 33.75" x 30.5". Unframed 22.5" x 19.5".
