Five Piece Gorham Medallion Tea and Coffee Service, mid 19th century, comprising oval coffeepot, teapot, covered sugar, open sugar, and creamer, all with bead and Greek key rims, bodies set with classical medallions on engraved anthemion ground, the angular handles mounted with further medallions topped by ribbons, lids with finials in the form of a reclining putto bacchante, monogrammed EPS, each engraved to underside "Emily Priscilla Smith, Oct. 6, 1869, From Father & Mother," coffeepot ht. 7 3/4 in., approx. 93 troy oz.
