Nelly Littlehale Murphy (American, 1867-1941) Edge of Clearing Signed "Nelly Littlehale Murphy" l. l., identified in an inscription on the reverse. Watercolor and graphite on paper, sight size 11 1/4 x 10 in. (28.5 x 25.4 cm), framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. Provenance: Through the family of artist John F. Enser. Enser studied with both Hermann Dudley Murphy and Jose Arpa. N.B. The lot is accompanied by three mechanically produced intaglio printing plates.
