Silver and Enamel Tobacco Box and Lighter for Alfred Dunhill, Ltd. , comprising a continental cigarette case bearing English import marks for 1928, shaped rectangular, the lid enameled with an ocean scene, the base with green basse taille, wd. 3 1/4, and an ovoid lighter also enameled with ocean scene, bearing London hallmarks for 1928, maker's mark W&G, ht. 1 34 in., in fitted Dunhill retailer's case, approx. 4 troy oz. weighable silver. Note: The scene is purportedly after a painting titled "Loneliness at Sea" by Anton Melbye (1818-1875).
