Belgian, fourth quarter 19th century. A palatial oak carved buffet a deux corps, the upper carved having a foliate and egg and dart carved cornice over a paneled frieze centered with carved cartouche framed with scrolling foliage above a pair of barley twist supports headed with diamond shaped patera blocks and enclosing the pair of arched glazed doors opening to a interior with two adjustable wood shelves all supported by seated winged griffins on the breakfront base with two frieze drawers having naturalistically molded branch form handles above a pair of molded doors relief carved with themes emblematic of harvest flanked by barley twist pilasters on a foliage carved and gadroon bases resting on bun feet. Approximate height 104", width 64.75", depth 23.5".
