18TH CENTURY DUTCH MUSICAL GRANDFATHER CLOCK, H 106" OVERALL, W 28":Figured mahogany with carved cartouches at top and bottom portions of tablet that is centered by a bronze image of a seated female, satinwood string inlay, Bombey bottom and bun feet. Allegorical figures adorn the silver above the moon face dial and hand painted stars. The top of the hood is adorned with tracery and a cartouche which rest below the gilt wood finials of 2 trumpeting angels that are centered by a figure of Atlas. 3/4 columns flank the hood. Includes a pendulum, 3 weights, door key, but no winding key. Ex prominent collector, Ann Arbor, Mi. (rev.20070614)
