ITALIAN PIETRA DURA MARBLE & STONE TABLE TOP, EX. POPE PAUL V, DIA 47 1/2":The table is set with approx. 239 semi-precious stones which are inlaid between fitted pieces of marble. Table top is 2 1/4" thick, and raised on a black circular base (only 2 legs). According to a document dated in 1944, the table was made in the 17th century for Pope Paul V, and it was in the Borghese Palace in Rome, Italy. From the Ex.
