Mid-19th century oil on wood panel painting depicting two women in a stepped garden setting (floral urn at top) with a young Tyrolean man depicted with a feather in his green hat with his hands on his face looking at them adoringly. Sheep seated in foreground on left. Verso inscribed "S.D. Sewards N.Y" in black paint. Verso also with handwritten label in French. Unframed 18.75 inches x 13 inches. Framed 24.3 inches x 18.9 inches. Provenance: From the collection of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
