AUSTRIAN CANDLESTICK CANE, C. 1880, L 35 1/2":The silvered metal handle is unmarked and opens to reveal a brass candleholder, stamped "Besetzlich Geschutzt", tapering wood shaft and brass ferule. Purchased from Michael C. German, Specialist Dealer in antique firearms, arms and armour, and walking sticks, 38B Kensington Church Street, London, in 1990.
