KEARNEY & WIGGERS WALNUT & BURL WALNUT MECHANICAL DESK, C. 1877, H 63", W 36", D 27 1/2":Impressive desk consists of both walnut and burl walnut and has a carved crest with finial accents above a mid section that contains two doors that open to reveal numerous pigeon holes, drawers and a drop down writing surface; the lower section has two doors, with a key, that open to two shelves. The escutcheon is stamped "Pat. Feb. 6 '77 H.H. Wiggers (Kearny & Wiggers Manufacturers Cin'ti.O.".
