MARY E. MILLER HAND WOVEN WOOL WEDDING BLANKET, DOUBLE SIDE WEAVE, 1849, W 72", L 80":Jacquard Coverlet having a double side hand weave having continuous rose patterns on an Indigo blue ground on one side and white ground with blue patterns on verso, interspersed with sunburst/blossom designs. Double blossom border at edges with wider second border of serpentine vine designs; signed "Mary E. Miller 1849" at top two corners, on opposite sides; the piece was made in two pieces and sewn together with a center seam. This item is a family heirloom handed down through the consigner's family from great-great aunt from Falling Waters, West Virginia, who married into the consigners family;
