IN THE MANNER OF JEAN-BAPTISTE CAMILLE COROT, OIL ON CANVAS, C. 1870-1890, LANDSCAPE:Image size: 8 3/4" X 11 1/2". Serene image depicts a partially wooded area that also is filled with tall grass, a small body of water at the foreground and a single figure in the midground, all is centered by a burst of sunlight at the midground. No apparent signature. The verso reveals smudged writing, in blue ink, on the lower stretcher along with a date (either 1870 or 1890). The painting is housed within a gilt frame.
