GERMAN WWII OFFICER'S DAGGER, C1946-47, L 10" DOUBLE EDGE BLADE:having a 10" double edge blade inscribed: "Solingen 1939" and "B&A" inside cross logo, leather buffer pad; plated hilt fittings, including pommel and ferrule with oak leaf clusters. Wehrmacht eagle adorns the cross guard; plated pebble design scabbard with oak leaf hanger bands with rings. This is a replacements parts dagger made after the war for American soldiers as souvenirs by B&A Solingen.
