FRENCH BURLWOOD VENEER AND INLAY SECRETARY AND CHAIR, C1900, 2 PCS. , H 50", W 34", D 21":having two small cabinets with glass doors opening to single shelves with brass galleries on top flanking a central mirror along with a small drawer below the mirror, all above a brass hinged slant top with vine and floral satin wood inlays which opens to four cubicles above three small drawers with veneer faces with satinwood trim and brass pulls; central writing surface has a concealed slide top center compartment; slant top hinges open to a newer black leather writing surface; bronze ormolu adorns the cabriolet legs at the top and bottom with a contoured and inlay skirt between the front legs; includes a French carved mahogany chair with black leather (newer) cushion and backrest, all trimmed in brass upholstery nails;
