N Y TRIBUNE REPORTING LINCOLN'S ASSASSINATION APRIL 15, 1865:Vol XXV No 7496. 8 pages, 15" x 21" All columns are separated by black mourning rule. News of the assassination appears on the third column of page 4, under the heading Highly Important! "The President Shot"!, followed by 11 brief dispatches, many contradictory, regarding the state of President Lincoln. Seward's attempted assassination is included in the sixth dispatch, and Booth's name appears in the seventh as speculation by a witness. Four more dispatches are included on page 8, the last of which is dated 2:12am.
