FRENCH PORCELAIN VASE, C. 1880, H 17", W 11", ORIENTALIST MOTIF:A square porcelain vase with tapering sides flanked by elephant mask handles, hand painted at one side with a young woman in Middle Eastern dress, signed "F. Bellanger" lower right (see additional photo), a male figure in a desert setting on the reverse, the side panels with gilt foliage, decorated in shades of pink, cobalt and turquoise blue. Impressed underneath "C/B et Cie/M" (see additional photo).
