GEORGE III ROLLED PAPER & SHELL TEA CADDY, C. 1790, H 5":Octagonal shape with finely rolled green and gold paper under glass panels about the whole, also known as quillwork, several of which are bordered with crushed shell, the front panel is centered with an oval watercolor painting on silk depicting a fisherman on the bank of a river with a bridge and house in the background, the hinged lid opens a removable cover. Measures H.5" x 5 3/4" x 4".
