AFTER ANTOINE BLANCHARD (MARCEL MASSON), OIL ON CANVAS, H 12", W 18", PARIS STREET SCENE:Signed "Antoine Blanchard" lower right; written on verso of canvas, "Antoine Blanchard Paris"; reduced in size from at least 13 1/4" in height - also the canvas along the top is folded over all to make it fit on a 12" stretcher; perspective pin hole in the center at the horizon line; no frame. Painting might be by one of the other 'Antoine Blanchard'' copyists who used Marcel Masson's 'pen' name. Provenance: purchased by the consignor's father from DuMouchelle Galleries, late 1980's retail floor.
