French, 14th century. Calligraphic illuminated bible leaf in vellum (sheepskin). Religious text hand written in two columns on text in dark brown with additional notations and annotations in side columns. Sheet accented with large P and T in red and blue with understated scroll and bracket. Framed in a two sided glazed frame so that both sides of leaf can be viewed. Possibly text from Kings 21-22, Jezebel. Framed 11.25" x 9.75". Page size approximately 7" x 5".
