Russian Icon Depicting St. Nicholas, 19th/20th century, shown in a mitre, he holds the Gospels in one hand and raises the other in blessing, with Christ and Mary in the clouds, 15 5/8 x 13 3/4 in. Heat damage to several areas including central figure. Craquelure. Surface abrasionas and scattered nicks to panel with related paint loss. Knot to panel in the lower left with repair. Panel is slight nicks to edge. Seam of panels slightly visable in painted surface.
