Five Double-series Opaque-twist Glasses, England, c. 1770, four wineglasses: three with ogee bowls and conical feet, one with vertical spiral inside a pair of corkscrews, ht. 5 5/8, another stem with vertical spiral surrounded by three heavy spiral threads, ht. 5 7/8, the third with gilded flower sprays to bowl, on a stem with vertical multi-ply spiral inside a pair of heavy corkscrews, ht. 5 3/4; one with round funnel bowl on stem with heavy vertical spiral surrounded by two multi-ply spirals, and conical foot, ht. 5 3/4; and a goblet with ogee bowl over vertical multi-ply spiral inside a pair of multi-ply corkscrews and conical foot, ht. 7 3/8 in. All with usage wear.
