Four Double-series Opaque-twist Ale Glasses, England, c. 1770, each with round funnel bowl and conical foot, one stem with a pair of corkscrew tapes inside two multi-thread spiral bands, ht. 6 3/4, another bowl engraved with wheat and hops on stem with four-ply column surrounded by two four-thread spiral bands, ht. 7 1/8, one with a pair of corkscrew tapes inside a pair of multi-ply corkscrews, ht. 7 1/8, the fourth bowl slightly waisted on stem with four-ply column inside two four-thread spiral bands, ht. 7 1/4 in. Engraved wheat and hops possibly later. Engraved glass with two small chips to foot rim. Each with light usage wear.
