Soapstone Brush Pot, China, early 20th century, cylindrical, carved in relief with Immortals at leisure in a celestial landscape with pine trees, pavilions, rivers, bridges, and distant mountains, inscribed "Lin Qing Qing zuo," mottled pale greenish-yellow and caramel color stone with reddish inclusions, ht. 4 3/4 in. Note: Lin Qing Qing (d. 1948) was well known for his Shoushan stone craftsmanship.
