(Chinese, b. 1960) Cheers, 1998 oil on burlap signed in Chinese and dated (lower right) 75 x 63 inches. Property from the Collection of James and Catherine Weir, Naples, Florida This work is very loosely stretched and without a cross braces to the stretcher bars; there is evidence of thinning with craquelure to the paint along the right shoulder of the subject as well as in the dark pigments immediately below the subject's collar; there is a nail head sized stain to the paint in the upper right quadrant on the subjects left shoulder; otherwise, this work appears to be in basic good and stable condition.
