Sold for:
$187,500

A painted Premier drumhead used by Keith Moon in 1969 with The Who. The 22" bass drumhead is painted with the name of the band in light orange and a small image of Moon between two putti. On November 7, 1969, The Who played a concert at Ohio University. Moon gave the drum head to the drummer of the opening band, The Silk, because the rim of the head had cracked. The head was possibly used when The Who played the Woodstock festival in August 1969. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the original recipient. ++BIDDING ON THIS LOT REQUIRES SPECIAL REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS Please contact info@juliensauctions.com or call 310.836.1818 for additional information to bid on this lot.
