An Ede & Ravenscroft brand ceremonial gown and hood that Pelé wore on August 9, 2012, when he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Edinburgh. The ceremony took place at the Victoria & Albert Museum, while Pelé was in London for the 2012 Olympics. The University of Edinburgh, based in Scotland, is one of the oldest universities in the UK. The inside collar of the gown features a sewn in manufacturer's tag with the company logo and three Royal Warrants, an honour shared by only a small number of companies.
