A gold tone medal presented to Pelé after his former team, Santos FC, won the 1998 Copa Conmebol. The Copa Conmebol was a football tournament staged by the South American Football Federation [Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (C.S.F.), abbreviated CONMEBOL] between 1992 and 1999 for South American football clubs. During its existence, it was a prestigious South American club football contest, similar to the UEFA Cup. The front of the medal features a low relief image of the Copa Conmebol trophy, surrounded by the words "Copa Conmebol/ Campeón [Champion] 1998."
