A silver plate Merit Award presented to Pelé on March 24, 1996, by the Professional Footballers Association (PFA). Former England goalkeeper Gordon Banks had the honor of presenting the plate to Pele at the 1996 PFA awards dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Accompanied by a blue presentation box and a copy of the book Pelé : His Life and Times by Harry Harris (London, Robson Books, 2001) which contains an image of Pelé receiving the award from Banks.
