The FPF is the governing body of football in São Paulo, Brazil, and is known as the "Paulista". The gold tone medal features an FPF shield emblem bordered by a laurel wreath with lettering that reads "F.P.F./ 1901 - 1961." The back of the medal features the words "Ano Jubileu do Futebol de São Paulo/ Campeáo" [Year Jubilee Football São Paulo/ Champion]. Pelé and his Santos FC teammates were the São Paulo state champions in 1961, winning the Campeonato Paulista.
