A silver tone plaque presented to Pelé on September 2, 1970, from the mayor of the city of Erechim, located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The plaque is a tribute to Santos FC, Brazilian football, and Pelé. This day would celebrate the opening of the Estádio Olímpico Colosso da Lagoa, a 30,000-seat football stadium in Erechim. In the inaugural match at the stadium, Pelé's Santos FC team defeated Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense (Grêmio) in the match 2-0 to win the "Troféu Colosso da Lagoa."
