Fine, 8-day going, gilt brass and marble desk clock with Limogesstyle hand-painted on enamel dial. Gilt-brass, oval with fluted lobed frame, the back with 11 screws, foliate supports, rectangular red and white veined marble base. Lobed, royal blue chapter ring with gold paillon radial Roman numerals, painted on enamel in the Limoges style with a 16th century- style scene of two couples representing youth and old age in a landscape, gilded highlights. Gilt-brass foliate pierced hands. 19''', nickel, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
