IMHOF LES AGES DE LA VIE CLOCK WITH LIMOGES STYLE PAINTED ENAMEL DIAL ImHof, Swiss, No. 1802483, Ref. 24/441 Ethe enamel signed "Richon". Made circa 1960. Fine, square, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking, gilt brass desk clock with Limoges-style painted on enamel dial. Gilt-brass, brushed and polished, fluted corner pillars, dial frame pivoted to access the winding and hand-setting, hinged handle and square feet. Square, painted on enamel in the Limoges style with a 16th century-style scene of two couples representing youth and old age in a landscape, gilded highlights, applied giltbrass chapter ring with triangular hour indexes and Roman quarter-hours, translucent royal blue enamel border. Giltbrass scrolled baton hands. 8-day, nickel, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, rack and screw regulator, striking on the interior of the "bell" movement cover. Notes Dial and movement signed, dial also signed "Richon". DIM. HEIGHT 11.4 cm., WIDTH 12.7 cm., DEPTH 5.5 cm.
