Kuruma dansu wheeled hardwood (zelkova or Japanese elm) chest or tansu of rectangular form with iron external hinges, rings, enforced corners and hardware throughout form, heavy hinged top opens to reveal open storage within, overall with wooden circular wheels. Approximate height 36.3", width 51.25", depth 25.25". Provenance: From the Collection of Owner and Director of Gallery Momoyama, Reginald Williams of Atlanta, Georgia.
