(American (New York), 1887-1903), sterling silver eyeglass or lorgnette case of oblong form with domed top that opens to reveal purple velvet lined interior and rimless nose rest eyeglasses or lorgnettes. One side of case with Art Deco engraved monogram. Edge of case marked with "STERLING 925 1000 FINE" and Pegasus pictorial mark for Mauser Manufacturingg beside "9". Case measures approximately 2" x 4.4". Weight of case (not including glasses) 74.3 grams. Provenance: Property from the Heisey Estate (of Heisey Glass Company), Newark, Ohio.
