Io. (hann) Nic(olaus) Delle, Augspurg, circa 1750. Fine and rare gold pair-cased watch with repoussé decoration. Double-case, outer: the back with repoussé rococo garden,inner: plain, polished. White enamel with radial Romannumerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel lozengehands. 34 mm, hinged gilt brass full plate with square balusterpillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brassthree-arm balance, flat balance spring and gilt brass English typecock pierced and engraved with foliage.Movement signed. Inner case stamped AG.Diam. 47 mm. Notes Johann Nikolaus Delle, Augsburg and Dantzig Master 1732, died 1769. Established on his own account May 10, 1733, following his marriage to the widow of the clockmaker Joseph Anton Schöner, son of Christoph Schöner of Augsburg.
