“The Companions” Swiss, circa 1820. Very fine, rare and unusual 18K gold and painted on enamel, skeletonized watch with movement in the shape of a vase. Three-body, “Empire”, reeded band and bezels, glazed on both sides. Small white enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel pierced hands. Shaped, gilt brass, full-plate decorated on both sides with engraved flowers and fluting, back with applied painted on enamel plaque depicting two children with a hound, fusee and chain, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, foliate pierced two-footed cock.
