“Spring Bouquet” Julius Assmann, Dresden, No. 4005. Made the for South American market, circa 1880. Very fine, 18K gold and enamel, half hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch. Four-body, “bassine et filets”, chased shell and flower band and borders, the back cover chased and engraved with leaves, flowers and geometric patterns, similarly decorated hinged and sprung front cover with Royal blue guilloché enamel chapter ring with white radial Roman numerals. Hinged gold cuvette. Silver, radial gothic Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, center and outermost border decorated with applied gold floral motifs.
